Privacy
KilnGuides (kilnguides.co.uk) is the hub for a family of free guidance sites for self-employed workers. This notice covers this hub only. Every site in the network has its own privacy notice for anything you do there, and so does every sponsor we link to.

What this site collects
Nothing you type. This hub has no forms, no accounts, no newsletter, no comments and no sign-up of any kind. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and runs no analytics script. The individual Kiln sites use Kiln Analytics, their own cookieless first-party counter; this hub does not even use that.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Lovable) and our edge delivery provider keep standard server logs (the page requested, the time, the referring site, the type of browser or bot, and the IP address it came from) for security and to keep the service running. We see aggregate counts from those logs, such as visits per page and which crawlers came, never an individual visitor. The logs are held by those providers for their standard security retention period and we do not receive or keep copies.
- Fonts. The two typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google when a page loads. Google’s own privacy policy covers that request. No other third-party resource is loaded.
Lawful basis
Server logs: legitimate interest (keeping the site secure and available). That is the only processing this hub does. We make no automated decisions about you and build no profiles.
Where the data is held
Hosting and delivery infrastructure may be located outside the UK. Server logs are the only personal data involved, and the providers that hold them are bound by their own terms with us. Links to other sites
When you follow a link to one of the network sites, to a sponsor or to Instagram, that site’s own privacy notice applies from the moment you arrive there.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Access, correct, delete, restrict, object, portability, withdraw consent. Complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
We are small. We will respond to any data request within 48 hours, and certainly within the 30-day legal window.
